Hi, I am Rohit Sharma.
If you look at my LinkedIn, you will see an MBA from Nirma University and a Science graduate from St. Xavier’s. You will see a Professor who has spent over a decade teaching Entrepreneurship and Strategy. You will see a business owner running Medical Devices and Home Furnishings Business.
But life is not defined by the titles on a business card. It is defined by the moments that take your breath away.
For years, you have known me on Instagram as @flybydreamer. You have seen the cinematic drone shots and the curated reels. But this space is for the unscripted version. This is for the Rohit who wakes up at 4 AM not for a deadline, but for a sunrise. The Rohit who believes that travel isn’t about the number of stamps in a passport, but the number of stories etched in the soul.

My Philosophy
I picked up a camera because I realized that time is a thief. It steals the laughter of my daughter, the silence of the Spiti Valley, and the golden hues of an Indonesian evening. Photography is my way of stealing it back.
I am a self-taught cinematographer who believes in the power of imagination. My gear—the Sony a6700, the drones, the GoPros—are just tools. The real lens is the heart.
As the writer Anais Nin said, “We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.” I shoot for the same reason. To live it twice.

The “Real” Me (Beyond the Grid)
When I am not grading papers or editing videos, I am a simple man seeking simple pleasures.
The Family Man: My world revolves around my wife and my daughter (who is currently navigating the adventures of 6th grade). They are my anchors.
The Soul: I am a vegetarian who finds joy in home-cooked meals that aren’t too oily. I find peace in the soulful ghazals of Pankaj Udhas and the timeless wisdom of Rajasthani folk culture.
The Seeker: I am currently learning to play golf, proving that it is never too late to be a beginner again.

Why I Created This Space
I built this website to connect the dots. To show you that you don’t have to choose between being “successful” and being “creative.” You can be a Professor and a Poet. You can run a factory and chase the horizon.
Whether you are here to collaborate on a brand campaign or just here to read a story, I hope you leave with one thought: “The farthest I traveled physically, was the closest I arrived spiritually.”
